UPROAR Case #HA-0CLE-00002, Arkadelphia, AR

Arkansas Hall, Henderson State U

Background: Arkansas Hall is a theater at Henderson State University that was dedicated in 2004, and contains a 965 seat auditorium..

Claims: Widely considered to be haunted, although there are a variety of conflicting claims surrounding it. The most common rumor is that of a spirit named Simon, which is known for mischievous behavior. In the balcony he'll flip seats, giggle, and make sounds of footsteps. Occasionally, as a prank he'll drop harmless objects from the ceiling onto the stage. There are also other rumors of a heartbroken student and a lost love, but those may not be tied to Arkansas Hall.

UPROAR Investigated: No

Our take: We are always skeptical of rumors of hauntings in schools or universities. We have always felt that many of those claims are manufactured to scare incoming classmates. However, we have found that theaters have an above-average chance for being haunted (for whatever reason) and would like to have a chance to investigate this location.

Is it haunted: Unknown
